Therapeutic massage
Massage is a gentle way to bring a feeling of warmth and comfort through physical contact. It has the added effect of helping relieve stress, anxiety and tension, thereby promoting a general sense of wellbeing.
Aromatherapy massage
Aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils that come from plants. These oils have different therapeutic properties, examples of this would be using lavender to relax, rosemary to uplift and ease sore muscles and eucalyptus as a decongestant.
Regular massage can help relieve muscular tightness, improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, reduce water retention and create a feeling of deep relaxation and improved self-esteem.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a technique based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands corresponding to all of the major glands, organs and parts of the body.
The feet can be divided into various energy zones, each corresponding to a part of the body.
Gentle pressure using the fingers and thumbs on these points helps to assess which parts of the body are out of balance and therefore not working efficiently.
Treatment is deeply relaxing and releases blockages in the energy pathways, encouraging healing.
Indian head massage
Indian head massage is a therapeutic treatment incorporating the upper back, upper arms, neck, head and face. It is especially effective in relieving many of the physical, mental and emotional symptoms of stress.
Indian head massage works deeply to ease the physical tension in the shoulders and neck. It can also help to relieve headaches, eye strain, and fatigue.
